Hi,
I joined recently. I was a member of the Murr Center at Harvard Univ but can no longer be one b/c they don't recognize my hospital affiliation anymore. Can anyone suggest a few clubs or locations of indoor courts that aren't out of this world expensive? Are the Tufts nets still up?

Also, I am available to hit (at your site) starting Nov 11. I'm a 3.5

Thanks in advance.

Hi Melinda,

Tufts nets are up and the Woburn Racquet Club is $40/44 per hour for evenings depending on member/public. Let me know if you ever want to play doubles there, I'm a 3.5-4.

Thanks!

Hi Melinda,

There's also the Winchester Indoor Lawn & Tennis Center (long name and they only have hard courts). I've played at both Woburn Racquet Club and Winchester and both are nice. More importantly, both don't require a membership or monthly dues (unlike most indoor facilities in the Boston area).

Price per hour at Winchester ranges from $36 - $42 per hour.

Melinda & Glenn, I'm a 4.0 and would be happy to play, too.

Hey Players;

I just played Sunday at the Winchester club (with David from this meetup) and it was perfectly fine. No membership, just call up, reserve a court and go!

Rates are 36.00 to 42.00, with the weekday evenings being at the higher rate.

Would anyone like to play tomorrow nite (12/2) starting at 7 or 7:30? If we play doubles we could go for 1.5 hours.

I think I played with Calvin once at Brandeis?

I am a 3.0-3.5 player.

I joined the early bird special at the winchester indoor tennis place. If anyone want to play there from 7am-9am let me know. I usually play with a friend over the weekends. I'm not all that great a 2.5-3.0 maybe.

Hi,
I am a new member at Murr Center at Harvard and looking for people to hit with indoors. I am a USTA 4.5 woman, so a 4.0 man or a 4.5 woman would be at my level. Courts are quite inexpensive during the day (about $20 per hour). There can be a $10 guest fee, but they may not always collect it. I can also play evenings, but court fees are slightly more. I'm new at Murr, so I don't know all the ins and outs, but I can reserve three days in advance. Please let me know if you'd like to try it out!
I'd also be willing to hit outdoors if temperature is above 38 or so. I guess Tufts is the best place for that at night.
