This group was created with the intention to link a wide variety of interesting and adventurous people based on one overarching commonality: the love of tennis! Robert has been teaching the sport for several years and thought it would be a great idea to create a community comprised of not only all his students, but new players as well. The benefits of being a part of this group are voluminous: you will get updates on tennis classes, receive promotional deals, connect with a multitude of o …

Over the next 5 months we're going to be running weekend hit arounds, socials and round robins for players to get out on the courts. We'll be using meetup players to run these events. We're sorry, we don't have any way past the NYC permit fee. If our meetup is at a location where one is required you'll n …
I LOVE tennis!! My relationship with running is a bit more complicated. It's more of a love/hate type thing. I love the energy and excitement of races, but I hate running alone. So I figured, why not start a Queens Tennis meetup that incorporates warm up and short distance runs before we play tennis. Two of my favorite parks are Astoria Park and Flushing Meadows/Corona Park, so I will be alternating the meetups between these two parks. Both are great for running and tennis. The purpose of …

Unfortunately, Zog does not have a tennis league in Hoboken, and none of my friends in town play tennis. For those reasons, i've decided to start a group here on Meetup.com to find other players in town. If you're interested, join the group and contact myself or any other members to discuss meeting up to play. I don't intend to arrange a formal schedule, like Zog would, but rather just identify tennis players in Hoboken. Who should join? - Anybody = Personally, I've played my whole life. I prefe …

Also, rating is not about style, its about abilities, such as un-orthodox playing styles of PTA players Alberto Berasategui's "Hawaiian grip" and of Fabrice Santora "Street Tennis". If you don't know who they are, look it up in the internet. So if you have an un-orthodox style but can hit like 3.5 n higher, then your welcom …
