This is a recreational meetup for players in the area to get together to play tennis and have fun. I decided to start this meetup due to the difficulty of finding tennis meetups closer to the Metro DC area. I will try to have the meetups at the Bluemont tennis courts in Arlington. There are 9 lighted courts available. Hopefully with the cooler weather, the courts will be less crowded. This is a good opportunity to get out, exercise, and have a good time. Please note that this meetup does not pr …

Tennis group for men and women ages 21-39. This group is for experienced players intermediate to advanced. We will have warm-ups, round robins and match play at least once a week. Attend when you can make it. Tennis courts will be in Rockville/Potomac.
We welcome all levels! Our group makes it easy to find someone to be able to play tennis with in the near areas. We will start with some warming up for the first few minutes and then play to our hearts content. Please bring your own balls, racquet, and water. We provide a forum for tennis enthusiasts to be active and social and to enjoy the outdoors.
This informal meetup is to get local tennis players together to PLAY and most importantly, have fun. Tennis offers the opportunity to build strength & agility, and serves as a GREAT excuse to get out of the house and meet other interested folks. Please note that this meetup does NOT provide tennis instruction. I strongly recommend players have at least 1 beginner's class prior to participating.
2 years ago there was a similar tennis meetup held in Herndon, and I had a lot of fun playing there, and met a lot of nice people. Unfortunately, the meetup ended when the weather got cold, so I've taken it upon myself to start another up. Meetups are held at the Herndon Community Center/Bready Park or Bruin Park courts. There are 6 outdoor courts available (2 at Bruin Park), though some are reserved at certain times for tennis lessons. There is no fee to use the courts though, and any non-re …
If you live in the Shady Groove Area i.e Gaithersburg, Germantown, Rockville, Montgomery Village and enjoy Tennis and or other racquet sports, this it the group for you. I have noticed the lack of such a group in our area and would like to bring people together to enjoy sporting activities. This group will not entirely exclude other sports, if you want to suggest something else, please do!
I started this group to organize recreational tennis meetups in the DC area. Members should have some experience and be at least a high beginner/low intermediate player. Meetups are very informal and depending on how many people show up, we'll break up into groups to hit and/or play singles/doubles matches. Experienced singles and doubles tennis players in their 20s or 30s are welcome!
This is a fun group for intermediate level tennis players that love to play for fun. To maximize fun for all, we expect that at least you know the basic rules of the game, can keep score, and can keep the ball in play with reasonable accuracy. When we get a good crowd, we try to organize the games according to level. We play singles and doubles. Come join us!
Meetup details are available only to members.
Tennis is a fun game that can be played by all levels (novice to professional). My goal is to bring these different levels together to engage in a casual game of tennis and to learn how to improve ones game.
There are no upcoming Meetups.

Find a tennis partner in Fairfax City, Oakton, Annandale, Burke, Springfield area for recreational but competitive tennis matches. The main purpose of this meetup group, beside having good time, is being able to get out and get some exercise and fresh air while playing competitive recreational tennis. (Most of the regulars are at least 3.0 players) Another purpose of this group is to be able to find yourself nearby friends/tennis buddies, who would fit into your schedule to be able to get out a …
Welcome to the Alexandria-Fairfax Events Club! We are one big area with plenty to do! This area alone has many tennis courts, festivals, shows and cheap eat restaurants. To be able to see it all would be impossible but if we can explore just a few now and then, we will be golden. So, let's get out, meet your neighbors and enjoy what Alexandria and Fairfax, and the next town over has to offer. All are welcome. All events are only in public venues which means no private homes, no over night trips …

Inspired by Tony of ZenHiking. We are starting a new Washington DC meetup that combines several spiritual disciplines such as Meditation, Yoga, TUMMO Reiki, Chi Gong(Qigong) and Tai Chi with all other fun outdoor activities like Hiking, Cycling, Canoeing, Wine Tasting, Camping, Golf and Tennis. Why? The answer is simple. Meditation is best combined with outdoor activities. What could be more fun and more spiritual than doing meditation before or after a day of exciting activities such as Yoga, T …

Would like to see if anyone would like to help me establish group meetings with people who have herpes. This really worked well in Orange County California so I thought I would try it here. Please remember that this is for the herpes community to Meetup at restaurants, clubs, bowling, tennis, hiking, sports bar football games, pool or whatever people come up with. I have never started a meetup group and would encourage anyone to come and join me to help establish this. Hope to see you soon!
Seasoned gym climber? New to the walls? Interested in giving it a try? Meet new people to climb with, get up some great routes, enjoy a total body workout and have a fun time. One of the best things about rock climbing (especially indoor climbing) is that a seasoned climber and a newbie can climb together and have a great time. Can't say the same thing about playing tennis with your co-worker who played in college or your BFF who plays on a weekend soccer team.
